Basecamps
Base Camps: This is training ground: Men need to know who they are as warriors for Christ and their calling in this world to lead. These are missional communities that are being built… a lifestyle that is lived… not a program that is done.
We have weekly gatherings to study God’s Word and relevant books based on defining biblical manhood and how we navigate in the world today as men of God who champion our wives and kids and who actively pursue God’s kingdom-advancement in our workplace and community. Small group principles and guidelines govern the operation of BaseCamps. We challenge men to take the theorhetical to the practical and live it out.
- In Omaha, there is Friday Man2Man, Friday Men’s Gathering, Saturday IronMen, Thursday Morning Ham and Eggs, Thursday Evening Ironmen, Wednesday Evening and other men’s gatherings that meet throughout the week in the morning or during the weekday lunch hour.
- In Kansas City, there are men’s gatherings that happen throughout the week in the morning or during the weekday lunch hour.
- In Lincoln, there are men’s gatherings that happen throughout the week in the morning or during the weekday lunch hour
- BaseCamps are the training grounds for men model Biblical manhood and share that with others.
- We engage in various DVD studies that challenge us in being Godly men who follow after the Father-God’s heart: “Wild at Heart”, “The Quest for Authentic Manhood”, “The Man in the Mirror”, “Every Man’s Battle”, “Raising a Modern Day Knight”, etc.
- We stay connected to each other throughout the week through prayer and calls of encouragement
- We (men and their families) live our lives together, serve the community together and share Jesus with all that we come in contact with – we live in community
