Excursions

Excursions: We do “Excursions” – opportunities for men to get out the normal trappings of life and experience challenges that will challenge them physically and spiritually and resonate deep within their souls. Excurisions bring men to Jesus and then release them to live boldly for Jesus

Examples are excursions to the Rockies and climbing  14,000 foot mountains in Colorado during a 5-day camping trip, a father-daughter dance, a father-son canoe trip, car and motorcycle shows and more. We also do guys nights out with chili , steak and chicken wing feeds. Motorcycle rallies happen in the summer and fall. Hunting trips in the fall.

We do active stuff and fun stuff that men love to do. These events are meant to challenge our men with some well-prepared talks on leadership and the authentic manhood of following Jesus Christ. It’s all done in a manly context of activities. We find that our men are quick to invite their friends to these events.

• These events are meant as entry points to get men engaged in life with a higher purpose.
• We invite our non-Christian friends, or Christian friends who are on the edge.
• From the events, we engage them in Base Camps or Fireteams based on their individual needs.
